Launched on May 15, 2014, Jobboard Finder is celebrating its first birthday today. The website now registers over 800 job boards and aggregators and more than 4 000 users worldwide.
Jobboard Finder first birthday!
It all started in 2013 when François de Boutray, our CEO, had the brilliant idea of creating the first online job board encyclopedia at a worldwide scale. The aim of it was to help recruiters from all over the world to compare job boards and find the ones that best suit their needs. The project was released the following year. On May 15, 2014, the website www.jobboardfinder.com was born! At first, Jobboard Finder only registered 150 job boards within the EMEA zone.
A Little history
Here are some key dates for the Jobboard Finder:
- On May 15, 2014, Jobboard Finder was launched.
- Early September 2014, we selected the world’s leading numerical analyst, comScore, to expand our services and allow users to compare job boards’ audience figures accurately.
- On September 29, 2014, the encyclopedia expanded to the North and South American zones and registered over 150 new job boards.
- On November 3rd, 2014, Jobboard Finder went « freemium » and gave free access to some of the data and also offered its services to jobseekers.
- December 2014, Jobboard Finder has expanded to the third and last zone, Asia- Pacific.
- On March 21st, 2015, Jobboard Finder became a 100% free service for recruiters and jobseekers all over the world.
Since the beginning of April 2015, there has been a sharp rise in traffic. On average, we register more than 200 searches through the search engine and over 800 job board profiles are viewed every day. Among Jobboard Finder users are some major recruitment and temporary work agencies such as Hays, Adecco and Manpower, but also large companies such as Total, Oracle, Siemens and Amazon.
One year after its launch, Jobboard Finder registers over 800 job boards and aggregators in 162 countries and has more than 4 000 user members in the world!
