We have already mentioned how the recruiters could benefit from using a specialized job board and how it offers them a quick way to showcase specific job posting to candidates with the appropriate profile. HairandBeautyJobs.com is one of our 910 job board partners at Jobboard Finder and one of the best niche job boards in beauty industry in the UK.
Recently we had a pleasure to interview Donna Smith, Sales & Marketing Director at Hairandbeautyjobs.com.
HairandBeautyJobs.com and its current positioning in the UK
Hairandbeautyjobs.com has very good brand recognition and reputation as being one of the leading niche job boards serving the hair and beauty industry within the UK.
Specific features of your job search engine
We like to focus on attracting quality applicants for our advertisers. As such we insist on a candidate registration process that goes beyond simple capture of contact details and CV upload. Instead we invite candidates to share more of their professional qualifications, experience and credentials upon registration so that we can provide employers with more of a targeted initial overview of their suitability for the role.
In addition, we are always introducing new ways of candidates standing out to employers whether it be by video presentation or upload of professional portfolio.
The biggest trend in the e-recruitment market in the UK
The biggest trend noticed has been towards a significant growth in job aggregator sites and their prominence in the search engine organic rankings for job related search terms.
The idea of creating a job board for professionals in beauty industry?
Hairandbeautyjobs.com was launched back in 2004 when online recruitment for our industry in particular was still in its infancy. Our job board was therefore created to serve what at that time was a gap in the online market.
Major challenges your company will have to face in the coming years
Keeping up with technological advances and subsequent increased customer expectations will always pose a challenge. But the World Wide Web is evolving and it’s only right that we as an online recruitment service should evolve with it.
Coupled with this I see a continued presence of job aggregator sites and multiple job postings and applicant tracking platforms. And this is not really that surprising. Candidates want life made easier by being able to find links to available job vacancies all in one place and employers want life made easier when it comes to posting jobs to multiple platforms and keeping incoming applicants accessible from one place. As such job boards have to be able to be prepared to adapt and meet with such requirements.
But more importantly, because of the above and ever mushrooming numbers of online competitors we have to strive for quality, ease of use and ways of continually differentiating ourselves from other recruitment providers.
Next steps and projects for HairandBeautyJobs.com
We want to evolve the traditional concept of a job board where functionality is strictly centred around live job vacancies and expand the scope of service offered so that we function as a ‘one stop’ career shop. So providing salary surveys, specialist career advice, blogs, CPD courses, job profiles and being equally relevant and useful to both passive and active jobseekers alike
Your experience with our platform
I think you offer a useful service for candidates to find suitable job boards to match their job hunting requirements and equally a good platform for job boards to raise their visibility.
What would help further would be the sharing of market sector intelligence and ideas on how we can continue both collectively and individually to push boundaries.
