Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Created in 2005, Zaposlitev (which means “work”) popped up in Slovenia as a national generalist job board. Over the years, it’s had its ups and downs, but right now, the website is particularly dormant. There are 9 310 followers on Facebook that haven’t been updated since May. The career advice section was forgotten back in 2013, and the job board visibility is unknown.
Design: The font is small and the dominant colour is blue. In a way, the website looks like a newspaper. There is a student section and a “working in the EU” section, which are both featured and both empty. To access the job offers, you can either look through the ones on the homepage or use the search engine (keywords). The job offers indicate the publication date and location in the listing. Once opened, the description varies in length and information from one advert to another. There is no particular branding and pop-ups around the screen are distracting.
The job board objective: Zaposlitev tries to make the job search as simple as possible.
Recruiter observations: To create an account, you have to send an e-mail to the website. Pricing information is available on the website.
Jobseeker observations: You can apply to job offers without an account as long as the employer has enabled that function on their account. It’s easy to create an account, but there is no CV database.
The job offers: They have half as many job offers as they did at the beginning of the year (roughly 132 job offers). The oldest job offers are from February.
Reactivity: --
Special features: Connecting to employers through Facebook; the career advice (nothing new for over 5 years).
Verdict: Zaposlitev was once a relevant job board in Slovenia. It would seem that those days are over. The English version is appreciated and the simple application process is always a plus, but the low visibility and few job offers make it an unlikely choice for recruiters.
