Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Based in London and founded in 2015, Transformify was actually created by a Bulgarian by the name of Desislav Kamenov. He also founded CTO (Kindlinks), which tracks donations. Transformify promotes diversity and different approaches to work by offering remote opportunities and emphasising certain initiatives. The generalist job board recently saw a boost in its visibility at the beginning of this year, take it up to 97 370 views a month, most of which come from Canada, followed by the UK, India, the US and the Middle East. On social media, the following is pretty decent: 7 160 on Facebook, 2 633 on LinkedIn and 1 368 on Twitter.
Design: The logo is a butterfly. The focus on the homepage is on explaining how Transformify works: the services, the features, the targeted audience and the partners. To actually access the job offers, you need an account. In the listing, you can see the partners (not employers), which own the project, as well as logos (sometimes), the targeted groups (see the recruiter section), the publication date and the job title. Jobs indicate a location or ‘remote’ for the ones that are far away. The job offers also have ratings. Unfortunately, the “jobs” section, there are no filters, but the “project” sections allows you to include project ID and skills to cull the offers.
The job board objective: Transformify is transforming the way people look for work, by promoting certain groups and letting recruiters hire somewhat underprivileged workers.
Recruiter observations: Prices are not provided online but different package deals are explained. To hire through the website, you must contact the team. The CV database access is limited to active users or those with the right skills. You can have a 7 day fee trial. You can target the unemployed, the disabled (autistics), older workers, single parents, etc. and posting is simple.
Jobseeker observations: To access the job offers, you must first create an account. You are encouraged to invite friends (which makes the job board more like a community). To apply to job offers, you provide your rates.
The job offers: There are 10 575 job offers. Without filters, it’s difficult to say which positions are the most popular.
Reactivity: --
Special features: The HR blog; job alerts; the various services; the environmental responsibility (promoting remote work); the #GoRemote campaign; the 10% off your new office promotion.
Verdict: The idea behind Transformify is great. Access to job offers could be made easier and the branding could be improved but I expect we will be seeing more and more job boards with a similar design to Transformify in the future.
