Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Created in 2006, TanitJobs is the leading generalist job board in Tunisia (the site attracts more visitors than the national employment agency website). It was cofounded by Hechmi El Khelifi and about 311 210 people visit the site every month. Even if we found information about the company on the net, the website itself does not provide much information (for instance, the “About us” section is really more of a legal notice). Nevertheless, the site shares information about the employment market in Tunisia on the blog, as well as on the social media: there are 2 405 followers on Twitter (no updates since last year), 269 724 on Facebook and another 40 580 on LinkedIn.
Design: The logo is the cross between a person and a tie. Just above the search engine (keywords and location) is a banner space, which companies can rent to advertise. The featured companies on the homepage aren’t all hiring but you can see the number of job offers per company without opening the company profile, so that’s pretty honest. Under the companies, there are featured jobs and courses and at the very bottom of the page, you can choose a category (city, region or industry) to start your job search. In the job listing, Featured job offers do not have publication dates but most offers have logos. The filters (category, type of employment, city) appear on the left-hand side and popular searches are just underneath. In the company listing, the profiles appear in a grid, which includes the logos, names and number of job offers. Once opened, the profile includes a logo, a brief description and a list of job offers.
The job board objective: TanitJobs appeared on the market in Tunisia rather early on and it has since responded quickly to the user needs by regularly updated its site.
Recruiter observations: A recruiter account must be approved by the team. A company registration number is compulsory.
Jobseeker observations: Jobseekers can create an account with LinkedIn, Facebook or an e-mail address. To apply to job offers, the online CV must be 90% filled out.
The job offers: There are currently 7 792 job offers on the site and 214 courses. Most of them are in IT, followed by telecommunications and sales.
Reactivity: You can contact the team on Facebook.
Special features: The blog; the courses; job alerts; the two verification stamps of approval; the most popular job offers (which appear on the side under the filters).
Verdict: As the leading job board in Tunisia, you know your recruitment campaign is in good hands. There are a few things the site could improve (like the “About us” section and the language options), but all round, it’s pretty good in our books. Definitely recommend using it.
