Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Founded in 2004, Simply Hired is an aggregator, which is present in a number of countries around the world. In 2016, Recruit Holdings acquired Simply Hired, so Indeed and this aggregator belong to the same group. The generic portal attracts a staggering 6.01 million visits a month and it has a large following on social media: 91 276 followers on Facebook, 107 000 on Twitter, 633 on YouTube and 17 643 on LinkedIn.
Design: the homepage focuses on the search engine and keeps a record of your past searches. As you scroll down, the site presents some of its other services and partner sites. To use the search engine (keywords and location), a keyword is required. Once in the listing, the filters (job type, minimum salary, publication date) remain at the top of the page and you can sort the offers by relevance and date. There is a company listing, which leads to a search of job offers for the company. Many of the job offers include a logo and the pay.
The job board objective: Simply Hired hopes to bring all the job offers from around the net to interested jobseekers, with a slightly more attractive design than some of the other aggregrators.
Recruiter observations: It’s easy to create an account. From there, you can post for free and receive reports on your offers. You can choose to see only candidates within a 100-mile radius or indicate that the job is remote work. You can also pre-set questions and require certain information.
Jobseeker observations: To apply to jobs, you don’t need an account since you are redirected to a different page for the applications for a number of the offers.
The job offers: To use the search engine, a keyword or location is required so it is difficult to estimate the number of job offers online.
Reactivity: --
Special features: The jobseeker and recruiter blogs; the salary estimator; the YouTube videos; the salary guide (broken down by job and location and including currently job offers or similar locations); the app.
Verdict: If you want a global idea of how many jobs are in your city, or for your profession, try using Simply Hired. I attracts many users starting their job search and recruiters can post for free.
