Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Created in 2014, Regio Jobanzeiger is a somewhat specialist job board, in the sense that it focuses on connecting locals to local employment. Before even accessing job offers, you must pick a city to view only jobs and companies in the area. The visibility is not available, but that’s because the website actually has a customized page for each city. Regio Jobanzeiger is present in Austria and Germany. It is a subdivision of the YourFim job board. There are 4 095 followers on Facebook, 54 on Twitter and 208 on Instagram.
esign: To use the website, you must first click on the location on the map, which interests you. Depending on what you choose, the backdrop is a photo of a different city. Each page has a search engine (keyword and location) in the middle of the page, with some company examples underneath. The job offers appear in a list with publication date and logos, but the scroll makes it difficult to know how many there are. All of the job offers are customized to reflect the company and the company pages are also personalised. Once you’ve clicked on a job offer, it changes colour so that you remember what you have and haven’t read. There are no additional filters.
The job board objective: Regio-Jobsanzeiger (which means “regional job advertisement”) focuses on local work and local workers.
Recruiter observations: Recruiters are encouraged to call the team or e-mail for recruitment information.
Jobseeker observations: Jobseekers don’t need any account to apply to jobs. Simply send off a CV and fill in the short form.
The job offers: Much like the mother job board, Regio Jobanzeiger has a continual scroll, which makes it very difficult to determine the number of job offers and their sectors.
Reactivity: The team answers within less than an hour.
Special features: The testimonials; the key figures about each city (population, unemployment, cost of housing, unemployment); job alerts.
Verdict: The idea behind Regio Jobsanzeiger is very interesting but sometimes a bit constraining. Clearly both Regio Jobsanzeiger and YourFirm promote smaller businesses in Germany and hiring local workers. It’s a different approach to the job search than, say, what you might see on niche job boards or large generalist job boards.
