Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: The specific job board is a part of the SME website. SME is one of the most widely read mainstream broadsheets in Slovakia. On its own, the job portal attracts 88 940 visits a month. There are some social media pages but only for the main site, not for the jobs.
Design: The design is very simple with a complete focus on the jobs. This is normal for portals which are part of a bigger site because there is already a lot of investment into sharing news through the main site. At the top of the page, you can access all the other services on SME.On the homepage, there is a search engine (just for keywords), some logos for top companies and a list of hot offers. You can also see some suggested location categories. When you enter the job listing, you have the following filters: city, type of employment, position, job category, type of employer, language skills and publication date. When you apply to a job, it leads to Profesia.
The job board objective: This site helps Slovaks find work in the simplest way.
Recruiter observations: It's easy to create an account with Facebook or an email address. There are prices online but they are for access to the news. If you want to post an ad, you need to go through Profesia.
Jobseeker observations: It's easy to create an account with Facebook or an email address.
The job offers: There are currently more than 23 000 job offers online. The filter subcategories are surprisingly specific.
Reactivity: There is a chat window to speak to someone from the team.
Special features: FAQ; the chat; the other sections of the site.
Verdict: This site attracts locals and despite the very basic form of the site, it's a well-known name in the country. For recruiters, it can be difficult to post thought because the contact info isn't specifically for the job portal.
