Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Opcion Empleo (which means "possibility of employment") is a job board present in a number of Latin American countries as well as other countries in the world. The group belongs to CareerJet, another big global site, so they definitely have an important presence on the market. In Chili, the site attracts 222 510 visits on months on average. When it comes to social media, they aren't the most present: 277 followers on Twitter (no posts since 2013) and 2 935 followers on the general Facebook page (no updates since 2018).
Design: The search engine (what and where) occupies most of the homepage, which is a simple blue and white colour. On the job page, you have clear icons for the salary and location, which are featured above the job description. Some keywords (like the deadline or the type of application) are also present under each job offer. These little details attract the attention of the user. Some job offers actually come from different sites, but you can see that before you even open them (and the site from which they have been taken). The other filters are sector, type of contract, easy application, companies. At the end of an open job offer, the site suggests similar offers.
The job board objective: It's simple: this site wants to offer you career opportunities.
Recruiter observations: It's really easy to create an account and post job offers, without even going through a middleman.
Jobseeker observations: It's really easy to create an account (you can use a gmail account or a Facebook account).
The job offers: 191 728 jobs are currently online. Most are for full time work.
Reactivity: There are different forms to fill out depending on why you want to contact the site.
Special features: The partner sites; job alerts.
Verdict: The site is very basic but it is also present in many countries making it a good choice for anyone who has used it in one country and wants to use it again in a completely different one. Drawing attention to keywords and the salary is also a good use of UX design.
