Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Medi-Jobs is a specialist job board for medical professionals in Germany created in 2009. Even if you can find international offers on the site, most of them are indeed in Germany. Despite there being no https://, the site still attracts more than 143 860 visitors a month! Those numbers are down compared to last year, but they’re pretty high all the same for a niche job board. The social media is not a big feature on the site, but you can follow it on Twitter (569 followers) or Facebook (2 268).
Design: On the homepage, there are different panels to help discover the different medical sectors and a search engine (keywords and the location). Around the screen, you can access different services on Medi-Jobs and current jobs. In addition to featured companies (which are all hiring), there are new offers. In the listing, job offers have a logo, a map for the location and publication date, which are also visible once the job offer has been opened. Once in the main listing, you can use the filters (sector, type of employment, location and keywords). If you want more information on the companies, you can check out the company pages, which include a description, a map, a logo and current job offers.
The job board objective: Medi-Jobs hopes to improve the medical industry by putting recruiting in contact with the right candidates.
Recruiter observations: The prices are on the website. Recruiters can also access (a limit number of) candidate profiles by simply clicking on “stellengesuche” at the top of the page. There are even filters (location, profession domain, the type of employment, keywords). If you would like to post for free (and you can view the ad before creating it), you can do that through the site. For a different type of advert, you must contact the team.
Jobseeker observations: It’s easy to create an account but you must fill out your online profile. To apply to offers, you don’t need one since you are redirected to an application page to apply.
The job offers: There are currently 6 315 job offers on the site. Most of them are for nurses and medical assistants.
Reactivity: --
Special features: The map; job alerts; the free jobseeker listing; the job sheets (which include the theme, the career development and current job offers); the advice section (which includes cover letter and CV templates, common mistakes, recommended reading and more); the forum.
Verdict: The biggest flaw of this site is the lack of https://. That said, it definitely offers a lot of interesting advertising and sourcing options for recruiters. We would recommend using it to recruit for difficult positions in the medical field.
