Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Kandideeri (which means "apply) is a relatively new job board on the Estonian market, which doesn't reveal a lot about its origin in the About Us section but is transparent about their traffic and job offers in many ways. According to LinkedIn, the owner of the company is "Venta Publica Personal", which is run by Jaanus Sõrmus. The site is available in 3 languages (English, Russian and Estonian). You'll probably need to close the chat window to actually change the language though because the two features overlap. On social media, the site already has 32 725 followers on Facebook, 376 on Instagram, 95 on Twitter (for some reason, their content shows up as sensitive for some viewers even though it isn't) and 262 on LinkedIn.
Design: On the homepage, the search engine (keywords and location) are featured. The rest of the page is filled with job offers and job categories (you can choose to view them by category, city, country or state). When you enter the job listing, you have your filters (category, occupation, country, city, county, salary, job type, company name) at the top of the page. One job offer is always open at a given time. You can view the company profile in addition to the job offer (all the important information like the salary appears above the description). Companies can add some images and logos.
The job board objective: By targeting the Estonian market specifically and by giving recruiters the opportunity to see who is using the site, Kandideeri helps recruiters see the value of their investment.
Recruiter observations: Recruiters can create an account with LinkedIn, Facebook or an email account. A descritpion of the company and a logo are also fields you can fill in about your company. The prices are online and there are many different package deals (the 2 most expensive ones are the recommended ones). There is a CV database.
Jobseeker observations: Jobseekers can create an account with LinkedIn, Facebook or an email account. You are then given the option of signing up for free or different paying package deals, which enable you to publish more CVs and/or have your CV highlighted for better visibility. It's a bit confusing though because the free package is so detailed and some of the paying packages don't have as much information. On this site, jobseekers can post job requests (and not just answer job offers).
The job offers: There are currently almost 1000 job offers online. Data science has by far the most job offers.
Reactivity: --
Special features: Chat window; the RealTime user visitors (displaying where they are and what they are using to visit the site); the blog (in Estonian); the statistics for recruiters; job alerts; company profiles.
Verdict: There are many positive aspects of this site. It isn't as big as some of the other sites in the Estonian market but it does offer different package deals for both recruiters and jobseekers and the sign up process is straightforward for everyone. More information about the history of the site would be appreciated!
