Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: It doesn’t take long to realise that Jobxoom isn’t everything it claims to be. The grammatical mistakes in the “About us” section, stating that Jobxoom, “the powerful and largest online leading” [something] and the incorrect social media links are more than enough to set off alarms. The Facebook link does not work (even though there is a person, and not a company page, by the name of Jobxoom), the Twitter leads to the wrong page (there are 147 followers on the right one) and the LinkedIn page doesn’t work either. Furthermore, there is no https:// protection and many different parts of the site malfunction.
Design: The website design is slightly outdated. The only page, which looks modern, is the blog. In the company listing, the profiles have small logos and contact information mostly. As for the job offers, they can be sorted by category, location or company (and the numbers are indicated in brackets). You can also filter them by category, location, keywords, the publication date, the job type, the salary, the employer or the travel.
The job board objective: Jobxoom aims to help recruiters advertise for less.
Recruiter observations: Recruiters can advertise for free over a trial period, in theory. The required fields on the site are all listed as required (but they are) and you must indicate the industry category (but there is no field for the industry category) and the work fax (who has a fax anymore?).
Jobseeker observations: Even if it’s easy to create an account, you must then fill out your online CV. However, as Jobxoom tells us, “You must need to Login for Apply This Job”.
The job offers: According to the website, there are currently 4 116 job offers on the site. Most of them are in engineering or accounting.
Reactivity: Still waiting for a response.
Special features: Job alerts; the blog (which is just continual self-promotion).
Verdict: Jobxoom is dodgy to say the least. With no https:// protection, mistakes and malfunctioning links, you probably don’t need our help to make the call on this one.
