Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Jobtic is a Swiss specialist job board, in the IT and communication sector. This one does not belong to the ictJob group (but the French Jobtic does). Jobtic was founded in Lausanne by Marcel Fustier in 2006. The site belongs to Tamia and if you visit the website, you can see their other sites and solutions. You can also find the company timeline. As for the social media, we have 3 867 followers on LinkedIn and 3 208 on Facebook (no updates since last year). According to EasyCounter, there are 1 920 daily visitors on the site.
Design: The search engine (keywords and location) is featured on the homepage to encourage users to start their job search and the backdrop is of snow-covered mountains. Some of the featured employers are hiring and the articles are interesting (but all are from 2018). In the job listing, you can click either on the company name for the company profile, or the job title for the full job offer. The offers can be sorted by date and by relevance. Unfortunately, there aren’t any additional filters (even if you can choose a profession from a list of keywords or a Canton).
The job board objective: Jobtic (which stands for “information and communication technology” in English), focuses on helping recruiting fill difficult positions in the ICT sector.
Recruiter observations: It’s easy for recruiters to create an account and order job offers from the website. You cannot preview the job offer beforehand though and you need a postcode (but it doesn’t have to be in Switzerland).
Jobseeker observations: To apply to job offers with application forms through the site, you need an account. Otherwise, if you are redirected, you don’t.
The job offers: There are 715 job offers on the site. With few filters, it’s difficult to determine the main sector for the jobs.
Reactivity: --
Special features: The newsletter; job alerts; the magazine (which is the blog; no new articles since last year); the partner page.
Verdict: If you want a job in the ICT sector in Switzerland, Jobtic knows the industry well. For whatever reason, the blog has been put on standby but the job offers are recent.
