Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: A national specialist job site created in 2003, JobsinTrucks targets truck drivers and those who recruit them. The head of the job board, among a number of other national niche sites, is Amy Noah. The partner websites are visible in the footer, and some relate to the same industry but aren’t as successful. The social media has a large following: 68 224 followers on Facebook, 5 538 on Instagram, 2 675 on Twitter and 188 on LinkedIn. There are fewer followers on LinkedIn, but if you consider how few truck drivers have a professional account, that makes sense. As for the traffic, JobsinTrucks attracts an impressive 330 980 visits a month.
Design: The homepage isn’t very long. There is a search engine (keywords and location) over an impressive truck image. Just below that, useful information about the site and signing up is visible. You can also click on a small advertisement for a number of truck companies, each one leading to the company website. There are no filters, but you can do an advanced search from the homepage: category, type of job, city, region, compensation and where you do or don’t want to see job offers without a salary. Once in the job listing (which is slightly different depending on whether you did an advanced search or not), you can see the type of desired driver, the company, the location and often some pay information. An opened job offer has a small logo and clear information (usually in several parts).
The job board objective: Jobs in Trucks hopes to fill more jobs in trucks.
Recruiter observations: For a price quote, you must contact the team. To create an account, you must include your address and the type of recruiter you are.
Jobseeker observations: When creating an account, jobseekers must include their license class, their location (postcode and state), the type of trucks they’ve driven, the preferred routes and endorsements.
The job offers: There are currently 40 695 job offers. Most of them are for truck drivers and include the salary.
Reactivity: --
Special features: The media kit; the driver schools.
Verdict: With a high visibility, JobsinTrucks is a safe bet for your next truck driver recruitment campaign. Jobseekers should consider browsing the offers for their next mission. Improved filters and a more attractive contact form would be a nice addition to the site.
