Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: JobsinChildcare is a relatively new specialist job board for nannies, teachers, tutors, governesses and any other job, which relates to children. So far, the website has 2 315 followers on Facebook, 206 on Twitter, 38 on LinkedIn and 1 728 on Instagram. The social media is coming along nicely, but the traffic is unavailable. Over time, the site will surely grow to reach
Design: The homepage is clear and direct. The search engine (keywords and location) appears over a moving backdrop of images relating to children and childcare. The rest of the homepage is made up of featured job offers and the blog. Companies can also be featured on the homepage, as well as the latest jobs. In the job listing, the filters (category, job type, country, city) appear on the right-hand side and they indicate the number of jobs for each subcategory. Job offers have a standard layout, which is easy to navigate. Keywords and the salary appear at the top of the page, and a description of the company is featured on the side. There are also company pages, which include contact information.
The job board objective: We started our jobs site to enable nannies, governesses, early years specialists, child carers and even teachers and tutors to search a wide range of vacancies suitable for them across the globe
Recruiter observations: It’s easy to create an account and the dashboard displays the number of job views, the application rate, the clicks as well as the number of applications. It’s easy to order job offers through the site (for free). Recruiters must include an expiry date.
Jobseeker observations: Jobseekers can create an account with Facebook, LinkedIn or an e-mail address. When applying for a job, your application is either sent to an e-mail address or you are redirected to another website.
The job offers: Most of the jobs are for nannies, followed by home help and governesses. In total, there are 414 jobs.
Reactivity: The team answers quickly.
Special features: The blog; job alerts.
Verdict: JobsinChildcare is only just starting out but so far, it has some interesting content and interesting features for its users, including free posting and an easy registration process. Give it a go; you won’t regret it.
