Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Jobs.cz is a generalist job board, which belongs to LMC, which in turn belongs to Alma Career. LMC was founded in 1996, and was the first on the Czech online market. Since then, they have developed other websites (present in the footer) and expanded their reach. The group even had a job board in Slovakia for a time. Today, Jobs.cz attracts 4.07 million vists a month (almost twice as many as Prace), making it the most visited job board in the country! As for the social media, Jobs.cz gave up on Twitter in 2016, despite the 1 019 followers. However, there are 54 543 followers on Facebook, and LMC has 5 676 on Linkedin. You can also check out the videos on Youtube (there are 1 209 followers). The website is available in English and Czech but be ware that the two sites are slightly different.
Design: Just under the search engine (keywords and the location), you can look through jobs based on the company name, the category, the popular search or the graduate jobs. Once in the job listing, you can see the useful information for each job offer (but no logos), which includes the salary (when it is provided), the “be one of the first” encouragement for unpopular or new job offers and even how long it takes the company to respond (when the site knows). Job offers also have expiry dates, which become visible when they are nearing the end. The filters remain at the top of the page (publication date, salary, type of contract, education level, languages, the type of recruiter, who can apply). Some companies have very impressive pages, and the job offers themselves have rather decent branding.
The job board objective: Jobs is all about the jobs (clearly). Whether you’re looking or hiring, Jobs.cz can help.
Recruiter observations: to advertise, you need to connect to a Teamio account, which requires a tax number. Otherwise, you can contact the team.
Jobseeker observations: When few people have applied to the job offer, it says, “be one of the first” under the job offer. Some offers even indicate how long it takes the employer to answer candidates. To apply, you don’t need an account.
The job offers: The number of jobs doesn’t appear with the listing, but there are 971 odd jobs, 5 185 student jobs and approximately 27 900 jobs in the categories. Sales, administration and industry are part of the categories with the most job offers.
Reactivity: When the company is open, you can contact the team through the chat support.
Special features: The great Youtube videos; the blog (with articles, videos, and distinct themes); the salary comparator; the salary calculator (which leads to Mesec); the other sites in the footer (including Atmoskop, which has reviews of different companies; Seduo, which offers online courses; Jobote, for referrals; Profinaut, an app to connect professionals with professionals ); the job alerts; the average salary (above the job offers); posting on international job boards; chat support; “be one of the first” info; the response time green sticker.
Verdict: If you are recruiting or job hunting in the Czech Republic, it would be quite foolish not to use Jobs.cz.
