Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Founded in 2010, Jobs.af is the most popular generalist job board in Afghanistan. It is the 15th most visited website in the country thanks to the 1.71 million views a month. On social media, there are 166 859 followers on Facebook, 3 968 on Twitter and 4 271 on Linkedin. Unfortunately though, the site is not https:// secure. As for the language options, international jobseekers will be happy to know that Jobs.af is in English but the jobs are either written in Arabic or English (and they aren’t translated).
Design: The website layout is very straightforward but not very attractive. There are a few pop-ups but nothing too distracting. On the homepage, you have reasons to recruiter or to job search and a search engine in a box with three different fields (keywords, the category and the location). Under that, there is a job listing with three panels: the latest jobs, the female only jobs and the almost expired offers. Another set of lists with panels are just beneath the first one: job offers by location, by category and by company. Finally, top categories and top cities are in the footer. For all the different lists, you can only see the job title, the location and the publication date. However, in the real listing, more information (like the expiry date) is available. The filters for the job listing include the category, the industry, the location, the education level and the company name. As a rule, the job offers are very long and include a company summary, a description of the job, job details, the requirements, skills, education and contact information.
The job board objective: Jobs.af aims to make finding work in Afghanistan easy! There is even a special emphasis on female workers.
Recruiter observations: There are a few fields to fill out but it is ultimately very easy to create an account on the site. You can access the prices through your account.
Jobseeker observations: There are quite a few fields to fill out when creating an account. It’s easy to apply for job offers and most offers include contact information.
The job offers: There are currently 436 job offers on the site.
Reactivity: The team answered us quickly.
Special features: The history in the “About us” section; the scholarships; the female only jobs; the number of views per job offer.
Verdict: In Afghanistan, it’s hard to find a job board. Jobs.af keeps it simple and clear for its users, which is why it is the leading job board in the country. If you are looking for work, then Jobs.af is the way to go.
