Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Founded in 2010 by Bruce Ge, Jobs2Careers is a job board aggregator based in Texas, run by Talroo, which is the recruitment service associated to the job board. The website is not https:// secure but the design is appealing. A lot of work has gone into creating an informative “About Us” section and even the colour scheme was recently altered but the rest of the site needs updates and working links. On social media, there are 45 862 followers on Facebook (no updates since 2017), 3 321 on Twitter (no updates since April) and 2 466 on Linkedin.
Design: From skyscrapers to small buildings and clear skies, the homepage has changed recently, but the basic design is the same. The colour scheme was mostly orange and now its’s blue and pink. You can actually still see the old logo on the blog (which as two links on the homepage to it at the top of the page). The search engine (keywords and locations) is the feature of the homepage, along with the mother company, Talroo. To access the job listing, you need a keyword, you can use one of the panel filters (full time, part time, hourly) or you can browse the different cities. You might be disappointed to learn that the “poplar searches” are actually just a long list of different search words. The only filters are the experience and education and that you cannot pick a random page for your search (it will come up as “no searches found). The sorting is also faulty (relevance and posting date). In the job listing, the company name, the logo, the job title, the location and the publication date,
The job board objective: Jobs2Careers believes in listening to employees so that the working environment is pleasant for everyone. This approach is applied to recruitment and the job search.
Recruiter observations: Recruiters cannot create an account. They need to send their information to Talroo, so that the team can call them back.
Jobseeker observations: No need to create an account since you are always redirected to another website to apply to job offers.
The job offers: There are 22 974 part time job offers, 11 795 hourly jobs and over 100 000 full time jobs (apparently).
Reactivity: --
Special features: The blog (with subcategories but no new articles since last year); the timeline.
Verdict: With no https:// security, unknown visibility and malfunctioning links, Jobs2Careers is not the most reliable website. It’s a shame considering the effort the team put into the “About Us” section.
