Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Created in 2005, Job in Live is a specialist job board for the disabled in France. Having been around for a while now, it has had time to make connections (with other partner sites) and update its technology (to include tools for disabled users). On social media, the following is surprisingly low: only 349 followers on Facebook, 864 on Twitter and no LinkedIn page. The site visibility isn’t particularly high either, but thanks to the other partner websites, it is safe to say that job offers do have more traffic than what SimilarWeb displays.
Design: The homepage gets straight to the point: the search engine (keywords and location) is featured above the rest of the information. Then, you have the upcoming recruitment open days and the hot jobs at the moment. You can also see testimonials, articles, recruitment agencies to contact and even coaching options for jobseekers. Once in the listing, the job offers display the job title, the company, the logo, the publication date and the type of contract. The colours are quite pale, but you can adjust them. To help refine the search, you have the filters (type of contract and activity) in addition to the search engine filters. Each job offer has a standard layout, with useful information on the left-hand side and a small logo at the top of the page. Job offers appear in order of the date, the alphabet or the recruiter type.
The job board objective: Finding relevant jobs for the disabled has been an ongoing mission for Job in Live and they continue to help companies find handicapped workers, as well as helping handicapped jobseekers use their site.
Recruiter observations: On the recruiter page, there is no https:// security. It’s easy to create an account and post job offers on a number of the partner websites. You must provide a billing address.
Jobseeker observations:
The job offers: There are 2 352 jobs online. Most of the offers are for jobs in technology, telecommunications and multimedia.
Reactivity: --
Special features: the font size options; the newsletter; the partner websites; the articles; the recruitment open days; the additional font and colour options (size, capitals, font, improved navigation, improved reading, etc. – you can also save your preferred settings); job alerts; the handitech trophies; the coaching (which are videos of potential interview questions).
Verdict: We love all the options that Job in Live offers its users. The low visibility and low social media numbers does mean that job offers might not be viewed by a large number of candidates, so it’s important to use additional job boards for any recruitment campaigns.
