Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Founded in 2008, JobIngenieur is a StepStone brand, which you’ll realise within moments of using the site. It focuses on engineers and other professions in the engineering field. It attracts 16 500 visits a month which is pretty low, but it does redirect users to StepStone quite often. Furthermore, the site is not https:// secure on the homepage. The Twitter leads to a StepStone page (with 2 119 followers) as does the Facebook page (5 708 followers). The page design for JobIngenieur is exactly the same as JobTech, Marketvente, Technicien, AdminCompta, and SourceA, but the colours are different. This one is red.
Design: The search engine (keywords and location) is the focus of the top of the homepage, which includes two tickable boxes: fulltime and part-time. You can also choose from a number of categories, cities and functions. Thanks to the advances searches, you can also include the type of contract, the type of hours, the sector, the experience, keywords and disability options. Once in the job listing, you can also use the filters (date, language, skills, category, sector, region, city, experience type of hours and type of contract), which tell you the number of jobs in each category. Every time you go to a new page, a job alert pops up (which is very annoying). The job offers include descriptions, multimedia (video and photo) and logos, but company pages are just lists of offers. In the footer, you will find many partner websites.
The job board objective: JobIngenieur targets engineers.
Recruiter observations: When recruiting, you need to go through StepStone France (see the profile).
Jobseeker observations: It’s easy to create an account but you don’t need one to apply to job offers (it’s just faster).
The job offers: There are over 911 job offers on the site. Most of them are in IT & telecommunications and industry.
Reactivity: The contact page redirects users to StepStone France (see the profile).
Special features: Job alerts.
Verdict: As a recruiter, there really is no point in going through JobIngenieur rather than StepStone to place an advert. For jobseekers, the job board targets a more specific profile than StepStone. The pop-ups are quite frustrating though.
