Jobboard Finder’s opinion

Summary: Jobillico is the leading job board in Quebec and a popular choice in Canada in general. They have been around for over 10 years so they know the industry. On average, Jobillico attracts 1.84 million views a months. They also have some Youtube videos, 4 347 followers on Twitter and a further 31 280 on Facebook.

Design: The dominantly green website has an appealing design. The homepage features the different aspects of their job board, including top companies (which are really hiring), blog articles, the perfect match tool and their success through a few figures. The search engine allows you to search for job offers and companies. The company pages all indicate the number of benefits, photos and videos, job offers and career opportunities within the company. They also have followers, a main image and a backdrop. Before opening the page, you can also see the number of job offers and career opportunities. Icons are a big thing on this job board, which do indeed make it easier to navigate. The company page is also connected to the company’s social media (making it particularly easy to research a company). Once in the job listing, the filters include the company, the job status, the diplomas, the job schedule, the work shift, the experience, the function (no additional information is given in brackets). To view the offers, you can display them on a map or in a list.

The job board objective: Jobillico wants to support jobseekers find a job and recruiters source out the best candidates.

Recruiter observations: You can’t actually create an account until you’ve spoken to someone from the team. You are entitled to a free consultation though. It’s always a nice change to have photos of the team members. Your company mus tbe based in Canada.

Jobseeker observations: It’s very easy to create an account, and to apply to job offers. Some companies would prefer candidates to contact them through the company website (which is indicated). If you don’t want to look, you can just upload your CV and let Jobillico do the hard work.

The job offers: There are 42 662 job postings and 5 090 recruiters. There are almost 20 000 fewer job offers on their website than there were 2 years ago.

Reactivity: --

Special features: the blog (which hasn’t been updated for months); the Youtube videos; the requirement icons; the benefit icons; MyMatches; you can use Facebook to check if you have friends who already work in a given company.

Verdict: Jobillico is very successful in Quebec and it’s not difficult to see why. Their website is easy to navigate and their job offers are interesting.
