Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: As a site that has been around for 20 years, Jobbank knows it’s specific niche quite well. The main target for this Danish job board is very qualified candidates and foreign students. The site is managed by Move On Career ApS, which also runs a number of other sites, like CareerVejviser and Frivilligjob (for volunteer work). Even if there are language options, they don’t apply for all the pages. Jobbank attracts about 59 470 visits a month (which is much less than what it once was), most of which come from Denmark. IT also has a number of active accounts of social media: 114 followers on YouTube, 1 401 on Twitter, 2 675 on LinkedIn and 4 476 on Facebook.
Design: The homepage has a small search engine (keywords) but the page is really more focused on content than searches. At the top of the page, you can choose between browsing jobs, company pages and blog articles. Company pages include a large image, the number of employees, a description, a map and other information. The job listing is peculiar: the job offers take up the entire screen, which makes each offer look more like an article than a job post. The filters remain at the top ofthe page for an advanced search (the type of job, education, location, industry, work, skills and who it is suitable for). Once opened, there is a banner image, a logo and a standard page design. Job offers have deadlines.
The job board objective: Jobbank offers recruiters a CV database and an attractive site for their job posts.
Recruiter observations: You can preview the talent on the website, by using the search engine in the talent base. Keywords, photos and a short description are visible. It’s very easy for recruiters to create an account. You have access to the dashboard instantly, but some of the features remain blocked.
Jobseeker observations: jobseekers can create an account with an email address or a Facebook account. Even if you have to include some information about your experience or yourself, it’s easy to create an account.
The job offers: There are currently 7 252 jobs online and 117 company profiles.
Reactivity: The team answers very fast.
Special features: The YouTube videos; links to partner websites; the blog.
Verdict: Jobbank is a surprising job board, purely because the design is unexpected. It’s easy to set up an account, but English language options would be appreciated.
