Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: In 2013, Luis Verdeja created the job board Jobartis for Angola, and an educational portal Educartis. Since then, the websites have been very successful and the job board is among the top 50 most visited websites in the country. That said, it has seen its visibility take a steep drop since October (down by 130 000 views to 216 950 views a month). It still has a very activity blog and social media. There are 208 681 followers on Facebook, 644 on Twitter and 12 002 on Linkedin. The website is only available in Portuguese; unless you have a recruiter account, then you can put it in English.
Design: The homepage features the search engine (keywords and the location) in the middle of the page over an image of an Angolan girl on a couch in front of a computer holding a phone. You can scroll through the featured companies horizontally (they really are hiring) or look through the top jobs and top employers. The rest of the site offers lists (jobs by company, by location, by industry) and highlights the CV builder (which doesn’t work). If you’re looking for information on the company, Linkedin is a better bet than the “About Us” section, which is more of a “Why Us” section. Once in the job listing, the information is very clear and there are filters (the industry, the location, the salary, the job). Each job offer is broken down into parts: the contract, job description, the requirements and the employer (at the end). However, the website won’t let you apply unless certain sections of your profile are filled out. There are no logos in the listing and not all the job offers have them either.
The job board objective: Jobartis has made it so much easier for Angolan jobseekers to find work and for recruiters to find candidates.
Recruiter observations: It’s easy to create an account (and you can set the language to English) and create adverts (the first one is free for 31 days). You can even include questions for the applicants and publish anonymously, but you must include a salary (even if you hide it). The CV database is free, but names and contact details are hidden. You can use the filters (industry, experience, nationality, lowest education level, the city, the gender, the language and the age). Furthermore, if you know someone hiring, you can win money by sending his/her info to the site.
Jobseeker observations: It’s easy to create an account but you have to fill out your profile to actually apply to job offers.
The job offers: Services, consulting and construction are the most popular industries. In total, there are 20 686 job offers on the website right now.

Special features: the blog; job alerts; apps; the partners; the blog archives; work trends in Angora (which shows the top industries and locations and the ones that are expanding the fastest. It also has the most popular job offers); the CV building (which doesn’t work); the link to Educartis (created by Jobartis); the recruiter recommendations (to win money); young talent bootcamp; talent fairs.
Verdict: Jobartis has a lot to offer! It’s a great asset for Angola and hopefully the drop in visibility is just temporary.
