Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: IT-Treff has been around since 2003 and it has many partner websites each catering to a specific niche. The main group is VeriTreff. This Treff is for the IT sector, as the name implies. According to a ranking from 2018 on the Crosswater Job Guide, IT-Treff is one of the lowest ranked sites for IT jobs on the top 20 list. Only a few years earlier, it was among the best. IT is on the list though, so it is still considered a relevant website. The visibility isn’t available but the site does have some social media: 638 followers on Facebook (nothing new since 2018) and a Xing account
Design: The website has a rather outdated design, with small font and content, which doesn’t fill up the screen. The search engine (keywords, location, radius) is a box at eye-level when you open the webpage and featured companies (which are really hiring) are underneath it. The only information about the company is on the homepage. In the job listing, logos and publication dates are visible, as well as a short description of the role and a link to Google Maps. When you open a job offer, the branding is top notch (each job has a custom design). There are no filters and the search engine doesn’t suggest any keywords when you start typing. There are partner websites down the bottom of the page.
The job board objective: IT-Treff (which meaning “IT meeting”) targets IT candidates and those recruiting them and offers attractive branding to attract them.
Recruiter observations: The prices are online. To create an account, you’ll need to contact the team though.
Jobseeker observations: Jobseekers don’t need an account to apply to job offers. Either you’re redirected to the career page or an information box appears asking for your contact details and a CV.
The job offers: There are currently 978 job offers on the site. Without filters, it’s difficult to know where they are or for which positions.
Reactivity: --
Special features: The photos of the team; programming language; testimonials; the net/gross calculator; candidate advice; the salary averages for IT jobs in 2015; the list of different jobs in IT; the tracking tool; the IT news (which leads to content on other sites).
Verdict: IT-Treff is still on the top 20 list of job board for IT in Germany and it offers many services depending on what you need. As one of the job board oldies, it knows the industry, but the site hasn’t kept up with the times. Don’t let that deter you from investing in their products.
