Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Created in 1999, IT-Jobbank has been a part of StepStone for the past 12 years. In 2009, the group joined Axel Springer and in 2014, it became a part of Jobindex. The niche IT job board is popular among the Danish, who visit the website as many as 146 250 times a month. Social media isn’t their strong point (4 301 Facebook followers, 6 982 on Linkedin, 83 on Instagram) but that doesn’t matter. IT Jobbank is a recognized job board in Denmark so the Danes will continue to use it for as long as the job offers are relevant. Unfortunately for foreign recruiters and jobseekers, the website is only partially translated.
Design: Much like Jobindex or WorkinDenmark, the font is rather small and the design is slightly outdated. Popular searches under the search engine (only keywords) are featured next to adverts for CVs. As a niche job board, its other strong point is the access to IT news, which is highlighted through their blog articles. Once the job listing is open, the filters (the area and the category – with the number of jobs per category in brackets) are relatively limited for the job search. The only kind of branding is done through the logo (visible in the listing and in the job offers). To apply to job offers, candidates are redirected to the company page. The job offers vary in length, but usually include a logo, a map, information about the job and the company and some even have the photo of the person to contact.
The job board objective: As an IT niche job board, the IT Jobbank hopes to put companies in contact with the right IT candidates for their business.
Recruiter observations: There are 4 187 CVs on IT Jobbank. It’s simple to create a recruiter account but you need to actually get in touch with the team before you can post or access the CV database. There is clear (downloadable) pricing information on the website.
Jobseeker observations: when you apply to a job offer, you are redirected to the company page so you don’t actually need to create an account. The website can import your CV from Linkedin or JobNet. It’s easy to create an account, but it’s relatively long to create a CV on their website.
The job offers: There are 291 job offers. All the jobs are IT jobs, with software & web development and implementation/consulting as the top subcategories.
Reactivity: You can request a call back.
Special features: The blog (in Danish, updated every few months); the SMS service; the CV builder; the recruiter advice section; the surveys (even though there is only one – in Danish); the statistics (including CV statistics).
Verdict: The IT Jobbank says exactly what it does: it offers IT jobs to Danish jobseekers. With the support of Jobindex, the website is sure to continue to develop. Foreigners might find it difficult to use the website since everything is in Danish.
