Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Created in 2004, the NetJobs Group AB manages 10 different Swedish niche job boards, which all have a similar design. Each one covers a specific field and has a distinct colour scheme: technical jobs (in bright blue), economics and commerce jobs (in fuchsia), law jobs (in dark turquoise), education jobs (in light orange), IT jobs (in yellowish green), medical jobs (in orange), environmental jobs (in green), sales jobs (in pink), preschool jobs (in yellow), management jobs (in purple). Their health jobs website currently has 587 job offers from a variety of companies. However, they only have one Facebook page for their various job boards.
Design: The design is professional: a large image of a baby’s foot covers most of the homepage, with a search engine in two parts (keywords and the location), followed by a list of categories. A “popular employers” section shows a preview of the company pages (20 popular employers), for companies that are not necessarily hiring, despite what is written. Even the featured companies on the right-hand side for their job listing do not show an accurate number of job offers. The company profiles include: a large backdrop covering the entire top of the screen (and if there is no image/video, the site will provide one which is of the same colour as the general site cover) with the company logo in the middle of the page, the company description (which can include photos), a list of job offers in a grid (if there are any), a map (if the location is provided) and social media information (with social media links also available at the top of the page). As for the job offers, there aren’t any filters and the jobs appear in order of the latest, the most pertinent, the company, the area or the soon expired (which does not work). Each job offer includes an image next to the important information about the job: company name, location, job category, deadline, followed by a long description.
The job board objective: By separating the major industries into different specialized job boards, NetJobs aims to simplify the job search and to insure jobseekers apply for work within their field, and that recruiters target a more specific group of candidates.
Recruiter observations: In order to post a job offer, you need to contact the job board for more information. Recruiters can include a number of email address for candidates to contact them directly.
Jobseeker observations: You don’t need to create an account to apply to job offers. For a number of job offers, you are redirected to the company website.
The job offers: There are mostly nursing and assistant nursing positions. Pharmaceutical jobs are the second biggest category on the website.
Reactivity: They answer very quickly but you need to call them for any real information.
Special features: The blog (which hasn’t been updated for three years); the company pages; the sector summary; job alerts.
Verdict: Hälsojobb is very easy to use and the job offers are esthetically appealing. Unfortunately, a job board needs to be more than just a pretty face: the visibility is relatively low and the blog does not focus on heathcare. That said, it is slightly more popular than some of the other NetJobs websites and the job offers have gone up by 50% since July.
