Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: GoEmpleo is an Argentinian generalist job board (which also exists in Spain), which has been around since 2002. It has no https:// security and when you click on “About Us”, a section about creating a CV appears. There isn’t much information online and the visibility is relatively low (about 6 500 visits a month), but we do know that it used to exist in other Latin American countries, like Honduras.
Design: There is a Spanish and Argentinian version of this site. The Spanish one is orange and red, whereas the other is blue (we’ll focus on the latter). The search engine (category, location and keywords) appears across the homepage at eye-level. Just below it, you have some suggested keywords and a list of the latest job offers. In the job listing, there are publication dates, but no logos. Even if there are no filters, you can do an advanced search by clicking on “look for jobs” in the footer. You can then specify the job title, category, location, language, skills, salary range, publication language, type of contract, type of employer and publication date. The job offers don’t have any particular layout and no fancy fonts. The useful information is at the end of the offer.
The job board objective: GoEmpleo appeared on the market at a time when Argentina needed better access to job offers. It’s simple to use so that recruiters and jobseekers can find the necessary information.
Recruiter observations: To create an account, recruiters must include their phone number, address/postcode and the type of recruiter (company or agency). All numbers and postcodes are accepted. You can also mask different contact details (company name, phone number, etc.).
Jobseeker observations: Jobseekers must provide a phone number, address, postcode, ID number, gender, the commune and their year of birth.
The job offers: There are currently over 1 200 job offers online.
Reactivity: There is a contact form but not phone number.
Special features: The views for each offer; the confidentiality options (for recruiters and jobseekers).
Verdict: Branding is not GoEmpleo’s strong point. A phone number and language options would be appreciated. It’s nice to be able to find the necessary information on job offers and to be able to create an account without exact numbers (like the ID number).
