Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: For the last decade, FrenchWeb prides itself on recognising new trends and innovations, which impact various sectors. On their job board, the site hopes to attract the type of people who read the online magazine and it means business. The founder of the site, Richard Menneveux, has an entire section of the site dedicated to his podcasts. The followers on social media are for the main part of the site: 55 660 followers on Facebook, 53 082 members in their LinkedIn group and 815 000 on Twitter. SimilarWeb doesn’t recognise the traffic from the site.
Design: The homepage is busy without being overcrowded with information. The search engine (keywords, category and city) appears over changing images of different work environments. A list of new offers fill up the rest of the page. If you access the job listing, the only thing that changes about the page is that the engine disappears. Each job offer displays a publication date, logo (if one is provided), location, sector and type of contract. If you would rather apply for an internship, that page is the same. There are no filters. When you open an offer, information about the company appears next to the offer and similar offers appear underneath.
The job board objective: FrenchWeb motivates jobseekers to be innovative and look for interesting opportunities.
Recruiter observations: When you create an account, you must wait for the team to validate it.
Jobseeker observations: Jobseekers don’t need an account to apply to offers (how to apply is the first thing you see when you open an offer).
The job offers: There are 576 companies featured on FrenchWeb and 1 093 jobs.
Reactivity: --
Special features: The articles; podcasts.
Verdict: While FenchWeb is easy-to-use, the visibility is questionable and the recruitment information is limited. More transparency and more filters would be greatly appreciated.
