Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Fitclinks was co-founded by three professionals: Alina Cooper, Phil Hill and Andre Boeke, in 2015. The team actually includes photos and an interesting backstory on the website; The following is small on social media (529 followers on Facebook, 935 on Twitter, which is a list of job offers, 248 on LinkedIn and 894 on Instagram) but the site is still making a name for itself. The visibility is unknown, but there are recent job offers on the site, and the number of offers has increased by 5 times the original number back in 2015.
Design: The homepage features a large image, taking up the entire page, of an athletic-looking woman. If you scroll down a bit, you can see the large search engine (keywords and location) above the latest vacancies. Every one of them provides a salary range and the publication dates become visible once you click on it. In the job listing, the filters are the keywords, location, date posted, job type, job role and salary and they appear on the right-hand side. Clearly, the offers don’t all fit into a filter (many have a salary, but the filters don’t reflect that; the same is true for the job role). Offers can be displayed in alphabetical or chronological order, or you can choose to view only the featured offers. Furthermore, the list of the offers and of the company pages appears as a grid. For job offers, the salary and logo are usually visible. For company pages, there’s a logo and the number of vacancies.
The job board objective: FitLinks hopes to apply the match making model used for online dating to the world of interviews and employment.
Recruiter observations: Recruiters can click on “RecruiterZone” in the top right-hand corner to access the pricing. Very little information is required to create an account. It is very easy to order an offer through the site.
Jobseeker observations: Jobseekers can register with a Facebook account. When creating your profile, you’ll need to include contact details and answer questions about job preferences (concerning qualifications, travel, salary, etc.). You can even include video footage.
The job offers: There are 266 vacancies on the site right now. Most of the jobs are for self-employed people;
Reactivity: --
Special features: The newsletter; the news (no new article since 2018); key figures; the videos (FitLinks Chats); testimonials.
Verdict: Transparency and easy account setups are also appreciated. As a new job board, it would be too early to write it off for low visibility; give it time. Some aspects, which could use an update, are the filters and the colour scheme for the key figures.
