Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Fashion Jobs is a part of the Fashion Network website, focused on fashion and beauty, and the specialist job board has been around since 2001. The Fashion Network is present in 50 countries but it is based in France (so it’s no surprised that of the 1 190 000 views to the job board, 50% of the visits come from France). On the French social media, there are 1 578 followers on Facebook, 5 361 on Instagram and 16 691 on LinkedIn. Depending on the portal, the social network links lead to different pages (and there is or isn’t a Twitter page).
Design: When you first access the site, a pop-up reminds users that the website is for fashion professionals and a similar message appears when you attempt to apply to job offers without signing in. The homepage displays the search engine (category, region, keywords) and many different company brands. By clicking on the logos, you can access the list of job offers from the company. In the job listing, the filters (sector, category, region, company, contract type, experience, availability, gold offers – more than £40 000 or $60 000 USD) appear on the left-hand side and you can see the number of offers per category. Some job offers are listed as urgent or gold. When you open an offer, it is broken down into four categories: useful information at the top, followed by the company description, the job description, the profile and the contact information.
The job board objective: Fashion Jobs makes it easy for fashion, beauty and luxury professionals to find relevant opportunities.
Recruiter observations: The prices are online. Even though it it's easy to create an account, ours kept showing up as a candidate account.
Jobseeker observations: It’s easy to create an account. When applying to job offers, a CV and cover letter are required. If you want your CV to appear in the CV database, you must fill in your online CV. The team sends out updates via e-mail.
The job offers: There are currently 6 528 job offers on the French version of the site. Most of the jobs are for fulltime positions in sales.
Reactivity: --
Special features: The long list of partners; the photo gallery (fashion week); the newsletter; the videos; the key figures (number of candidates, hiring companies, etc.); the planner (of fashion shows); the statistics.
Verdict: Fashion Jobs offers interesting content and relevant job offers classified in a number of categories for a more specific search. The only issue is that there seems to be some confusion between the two accounts.
