Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: EuroPharmaJobs belongs to the EuroJobSites (others in the group are listed at the bottom of the page). Founded and managed by Lars Peter Svane (in Belgium) since 2006, the specialist job boards focus on key areas of the job market across Europe. This one focuses on pharmaceutical professionals. Unforuntately, SimilarWeb can’t measure the audience numbers but the job board provides a breakdown of what interests its users. On social media, the posts are just job offers on Facebook for the 7 578 followers and the same approach is used on Twitter for 241 followers. On LinkedIn, the company has a group and a EuroJobSites page (with 525 followers).
Design: The focus of the EuroPharmaJobs job board is solely on the job search. The search engine (keywords and the location) suggests keywords to help filter the search and hiring companies (which really are hiring) scroll across the screen. The latest jobs fill up the rest of the homepage (with top jobs appearing on the right-hand side as well). At the bottom of the page, you can also find different lists: jobs by location, jobs by type, jobs by experience. Once in the job listing, jobseekers can use the filters (the category, the location and the experience) to cull the offers. However, you can only view a page of job offers so use the filters wisely. Some job offers are over a month old but from the looks of things, they have expiry dates. Featured offers are in green boxes to attract attention (but not necessarily at the top of the list). Job offers are broken down into clear sections and a logo is featured at the top of the page.
The job board objective: EuroPharmaJobs has made it possible for pharmaceutical professionals from all over Europe to connect in one place.
Recruiter observations: Recruiters cannot create an account without going through the sales team. The prices are on the website.
Jobseeker observations: Jobseekers upload their CV to create an account. You can use Facebook or Google to fill in personal details, but the rest of the form must be filled out manually. This includes your studies and if you are willing to relocate. If you have an account on a different EuroJobSite, you don’t need to create a new one.
The job offers: There are currently 255 job offers on the site. Most of them are in the United Kingdom or Belgium and most of them are in clinical research.
Reactivity: The team answered within a few hours.
Special features: The newsletter; the audience demographic chart; job alerts; a couple of testimonials; the feedback options; the guides (including an interview guide, the recruiter guide and personality type guide).
Verdict: In Europe, pharmaceutical procedures can different greatly from one country to another and the hiring process can be difficult to adapt to different audiences. This could be why the audience numbers are low on EuroPharma and much higher on the other job boards in the group. The website is easy to use but recruiters should definitely research the education system in the country in which they wish to hire to ensure pharmaceutical professionals don’t have their own sites.
