Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: EuroEngineerJobs belongs to the EuroJobSites (others in the group are listed at the bottom of the page). Founded and managed by Lars Peter Svane (in Belgium) since 2006, the specialist job boards focus on key areas of the job market across Europe. This one focuses on pharmaceutical professionals. The number of views is 65 200 a month. Top countries are Hungary, followed by Germany, India, the UK and Poland. On social media, the posts are just job offers on Facebook for the 4 001 followers and the same approach is used on Twitter for 1 076 followers. On LinkedIn, the company has a group and a EuroJobSites page (with 525 followers).
Design: The focus of the EuroEngineerJobs job board is solely on the job search but the page design is mostly red. The search engine (keywords and the location) suggests keywords to help filter the search and hiring companies (which really are hiring) scroll across the screen. The latest jobs fill up the rest of the homepage (with top jobs appearing on the right-hand side as well). At the bottom of the page, you can also find different lists: jobs by location, jobs by type, jobs by experience. Once in the job listing, jobseekers can use the filters (the category, the location and the experience) to cull the offers. However, you can only view a page of job offers so use the filters wisely. Some job offers are over a month old but from the looks of things, they have optional expiry dates. Featured offers are in red boxes to attract attention (but not necessarily at the top of the list). Job offers are broken down into clear sections and a logo is featured at the top of the page.
The job board objective: EuroEngineerJobs has made it possible for engineering professionals from all over Europe to connect in one place.
Recruiter observations: Recruiters can choose different packages, and they can even post a basic offer for free. The prices are on the website.
Jobseeker observations: Jobseekers upload their CV to create an account. You can use Facebook or Google to fill in personal details, but the rest of the form must be filled out manually. This includes your studies and if you are willing to relocate. For most job offers, you are redirected to the company website or contact details are provided so you don’t really need an account.
The job offers: There are currently 270 job offers on the site. Most of them are in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands or Belgium and most of them are in mechanical or industrial engineering.
Reactivity: The team answered within a few hours.
Special features: The newsletter; the audience demographic chart; job alerts; a couple of testimonials; the feedback options; the career guides.
Verdict: EuroEngineerJobs has an attractive design and free posting. Furthermore, the offers re relevant and recruiters can redirect the applications to their own websites. It’s definitely worth checking out.
