Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Created in 2003, El Curriculum is a Spanish job board. It was founded by Jose María Rodríguez, and the site later spread to many other countries in Latin America. As the name implies, the emphasis is on CVs, so recruiters can be sure that there is a CV database. As for the social media, there is one account for all the countries: 303 followers on LinkedIn, 2 516 on Facebook (nothing since 2018) and 1 296 on Twitter (nothing since 2018). The traffic for the main site is around 102 860 visitors a month.
Design: The search engine (keywords and location) is at eye-level when you open the homepage. The latest offers are displayed, and just below them, you can see some CV samples (with photos). When you click on one, you can bring up a full CV, with the full name of the candidate (but no contact details). Unfortunately, the featured employers aren’t necessarily hiring. In the job listing, the filters (salary, sector, contract type, type of hours) appear on the left-hand side, and the job offers don’t have logos, but they do have tags to help recognise the type of jobs. Jobs have a standard layout, with useful information at the top of the page.
The job board objective: By offering recruiters CVs, El Curriculum helps the professionals find the right candidates.
Recruiter observations: Recruiters need a phone number, an address and an identification number (as well as a description of the company). You might have to check your spam for the confirmation email. You can find the prices through your account.
Jobseeker observations: Jobseekers must include their gender and date of birth.
The job offers: There are over 500 000 job offers on the Spanish portal of the site alone.
Reactivity: --
Special features: Courses; articles (nothing new since 2014).
Verdict: El Curriculum is a great website for recruiters who are willing to look through CVs to find the perfect candidate. Jobseekers who are looking to be scouted will also appreciate the design.
