Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Launched in 2014 by Maurice Behre and Raymond te Veldhuis, DataJobs is a Dutch specialist job board for data experts. The pair also created CheckData, to check information for customers. You can find more information (and photos) on that site. As for DataJobs, it has some social media but not that many followers: 11 on Facebook, 1 266 on Twitter and 93 on LinkedIn. We couldn’t find any data on the visibility..
Design: The homepage displays a search engine (keywords and location) over an image of a flying businessman. The rest of the homepage is filled up with companies, featured jobs and jobs in different categories. In the listing, you can see the title, the logo, the publication date, the company name, the location and the beginning of a description for each offer, in a large box. The filters (category, job title, location, number of vacancies per page) appear on the right-hand side. The offers can be sorted by date or location.
The job board objective: DataJobs hopes to make it easier to find data specialists in and around the Netherlands.
Recruiter observations: If you would like to recruit through the site, you must contact the team.
Jobseeker observations: When applying to job offers, you are redirected to another page usually or contact information is provided.
The job offers: There are currently 79 job offers on the site. One noteworthy job offer is Potatoes Specialist.
Reactivity: The team answers very quickly and they are friendly.
Special features: The genius blog.
Verdict: Clearly, if you are a potato specialist, you should be applying through DataJobs. More seriously, the site definitely has potential, knowing that 'data scientist' is a popular job at the moment. Keep an eye on the site for more developments.
