Jobboard Finder’s opinion

Summary: If you were looking for a salary checker and some interview advice, you’ve come to the wrong place. CV Bankas is just about jobs. That hasn’t stopped it from becoming the 48th most visited website in Lithuania, with a steady 1.82million views per month. As a Diginet website, it also features other partner websites in the footer (from cars and housing to classifieds and services) and benefits from better visibility thanks to such partnerships. It has no social media, but it doesn’t need any. It is still the leading job board in Lithuania and it’s been around for over two decades. International recruiters are in luck because the website is also available in English.

Design: There is a backdrop photo above the search engine (city, job category and keywords), which features business people or the app (it alternates). The rest of the homepage (and website) is just about the job offers, and there is a long list of them! There are no additional filters, for job offers or CV searches (except that you can choose when the offer was last updated). In the listing, the logo and expiry date are visible. Once the job offer is opened, company information appears at the bottom of job offers (but they don’t have actual company pages). There is a backdrop image, a logo in the corner, a map for the location and recruiters can even include videos.

The job board objective: CV Bankas (which means “CV bank”) offer easy access to candidate profiles and clear vacancies for jobseekers.

Recruiter observations: On the employer page, everything goes blue. Recruiters are encouraged to include the salary and additional questions. The job offer must be located in Lithuania and you choose an expiry date, which you can prolong at any time. It’s very easy to order the job offer over the internet, and to use the CV database.

Jobseeker observations: It’s very easy to create an account (with Linkedin, Facebook or an e-mail address) and the website can extract information from your profile. There are often preliminary questions when applying to a job offer and the cover letter is optional.

The job offers: There are currently 4 834 job offers on CV Bankas. Construction, IT, manufacturing, sales and retail have the most job offers.

Special features: Better visibility for jobseekers (at a cost); you can block specific companies from seeing your CV; job alerts; user statistics on Diginet;

Verdict: Easy-to-access CV database, additional advertising on the leading classifieds website Skelbiu and straightforward advertising. What else could you want?
