Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: There is little to no information about Ancona Lavoro online. They have poor visibility and no https:// on their website but they continue to advertise on their social media (Facebook and Twitter) for their 7 895 and 1 021 followers. There is clear information about the privacy on the website, and they encourage job seekers to sign up for more information about job offers. However, to contact companies, which are advertising on Ancona Lavoro, contact information is supplied.
Design: The homepage is dominantly yellow and grey, with a backdrop of various professionals to emphasize the fact that everyone can find work on their website with the right guidance (thus the compass). The rest of the homepage is taken up job offers, partners and companies that supposedly used AnconaLavoro to hire employees (you cannot click on either). To access the listing, you can use the search engine (keywords) or click on “enter the jobs”. The jobs only take up a third of the page and the only filter is the category. To apply to job offers, contact information is available above the similar jobs.
The job board objective: Originally for jobs in Ancona, the job board now offers jobs all over Italy.
Recruiter observations: If you are a verified company, they highlight the company name in green on the job offer. No particular requirements in order to create a job offer and you can choose to make it only visible in certain cities.
Jobseeker observations: It’s easy to create an account but there is no need since you can’t apply to job offers through the website anyway.
The job offers: Job offers are visible for 90 days, and they are deleted after 120 days. For that reason, they still have adverts from three months ago on the website. Some categories are empty (like Art and Sport). Manufacturing is by far the largest category, followed by sales and other.
Reactivity: --
Special features: Job alerts; the blog (hasn’t been updated for a year and it is difficult to find).
Verdict: With a standard account, it is free to post adverts. The visibility is low, but there is no harm in taking advantage of the free publicity. It is best to be wary of non https:// websites.
