Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Created in 2001, AllRetailJobs is a specialist jobboard for anyone looking for work in retail. The current president is Amy Noah, who also heads the partner job boards. On social media, AllRetailJobs has 28 077 Facebook followers, 1 106 on Twitter and 313 on Linkedin.
Design: Despite the appealing and modern homepage, the rest of the site is surprisingly outdated. The font is small and the design is impersonal, almost like an administrational site. There isn’t even a tab icon. The homepage displays the search engine (keywords and the location) at the top of the page, and logos for hiring companies appear underneath (all are actually hiring). There are seasonal/holiday jobs and the featured companies, which have logos, and featured retail jobs (which don’t). You can also read the only articles available on AllRetailJobs, but they are over a year old. When you use the search engine, you are redirected to the manager jobs search engine (which is similar to the hourly one), where you can filter by the job category, the city, the state, the radius and keywords (and match with all or any of the keywords). The job listing is impersonal: just a list of offers in a table: posted, job title, company, location. When you open them, some have photos.
The job board objective: AllRetailJobs brings retail professionals and retail opportunities together.
Recruiter observations: It’s easy to create an account and purchase slots. According to the website, they also have pay-per-click options. You can pay by invoice (and just send the bill wherever you feel like it from the looks of things) or by credit card.
Jobseeker observations: When filling out your profile, you can include your gender, languages and race in addition to the basic information. When you apply to job offers, you have to give your name, e-mail address, state and city every time even though you are redirected to the company page.
The job offers: There are 12 637 hourly jobs and 22 618 manager ones.
Reactivity: --
Special features: The partner websites; the articles (the most recent one was posted 2 years ago); the 2018 Media Kit; the client list.
Verdict: AllRetailJobs is a bit of a letdown. You see the homepage and expect a modern interface. The design isn’t the only issue: the application process is needlessly repetitive, there are no new articles and the billing for recruiters isn’t clear.
